Oakville, Ontario, November 10, 2010: Sandy Smeenk, Executive Director of the ICL Foundation; organizer of the 7th Annual Oakville Largest Rock’nRoll Party wishes to thank all guests, media, local and surrounding businesses and residents, the volunteers; everyone, who have once again contributed to the success of raising 10,000 for this year’s beneficiary – The Kerr Street Children’s Dream Centre and Food Bank.
Live entertainment provided by Oakville’s own “Kings“ and Grand Blvd packed the dance floor at the OE Banquet Hall on Speers Road. Generous portions of tasty appetizers provided by local businesses including Montfort Mediterranean Cuisine, Julia’s Ristorante, Chocolates by Bernard Callebaut, Paradiso, Monastery Bakery & Deli, Sushi Hour, Starbucks, South St. Burger, Tag Vodka were nothing but amazing!
We are looking forward to our 8th Annual on Saturday, November 5, 2011, which will be bigger and better than ever…
WE NEED YOUR VOTES – Pepsi Canada Refresh Project has since approved Oakville’s Largest Rock’n Roll Party and The ILC Foundation to receive a grant of $100,000.00 subject to winning the most votes.
“I would like to encourage everyone in our community – family, friends, colleagues, sponsors and supporters to vote each and every day in favor of Creating the Largest Single Night Annual pan-Canadian Rock’n Roll Party in support of local charities, and really be a town & country that rocks,” said Sandy Smeenk, Executive Director.
The ILC Foundation (Improving the Life of Children) was incorporated as a not-for-profit organization with the intention to Create the Largest Single Night Annual pan-Canadian Charity Event supporting and connecting Canadian communities at a grassroots charity level, to support children in various ways.

The seventh annual Oakville’s Largest Rock ‘n Roll Party will attract hundreds of guests to party and dance — and they’ll be doing it for a cause.
This year’s event will raise funds for the Kerr Street Ministries (KSM) Dream Centre, which provides educational programs and food security for children and their families in Oakville and Halton.
The party will take place on Saturday, Nov. 6 at the International Union of Operating Engineers Banquet Hall on Speers Road.

This event has developed into a meaningful way for members of the business community, entertainers and merchants to be highlighted as integral to, and supporters of all that is great about living in Oakville. Over the past five years, the culmination of our efforts, supported by Oakville and surrounding businesses, has generated for our community, over $53,000.00 in essential financial support. Beneficiaries have included the Cruisers Sports for the Physically Disabled; Wellspring of Oakville and other cancer related causes; The Rocks for Crops Foundation – as a demonstration of values that go beyond our borders; the REACH Legacy Fund of Oakville, the Reach Out Centre for Kids; and in 2009 the Sunshine Foundation Dreams for Kids. In the spirit of a culmination of business meeting community, this year’s sold out “Oakville’s Largest Rock’n Roll Party” raised $10,000.00 for The Reach Out Centre for Kids (ROCK). They’re proud to have received such amazing support and would like to thank each and every person and organization that participated in this year’s event. Of special mention is the wonderful support received from the Service Charities Council of Oakville, where they graciously helped out by distributing door hangers, selling tickets to members & friends, and underwriting certain media print costs.
